 This was fourth week of our teaching practice. There were 3 periods each on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday there was school assembly. Toppers of 2nd term exam were given medals. Winners of state youth festival, sports and other extra curricular activities were awarded.  26th, Thursday was the Republic Day. Flag hosting was done by respected principal. There were uniformed battalions like SPC, JRC, NSS etc. Students performed patriotic dance and group song. The ceremony lasted for an hour and concluded by distributing sweets. 

 

 Week 3 ( jan 16 - jan 20)  This was 3rd week of our teaching practice. Took a minimum of 2 classes every day as per time table and also took substitution  classes. Note book clearence were done for 8A students. Free time was used to write lesson plans. Lunch duty was done on every day. Students are getting more interactive to us.

 Week 2 ( jan 9 - jan 13)         This was 2nd week of our teaching practice. We started getting more closer to the school atmosphere. I had class on all days of this week. We were assigned with exam duty along with gate duty and noon meal service.               On 12th, our optional teacher came to observe our class. Teacher observed my class for 8A. I took the topic 'propagation of sound' from the chapter 'sound' in physics. Teacher told a few points to improve my skills.

 Week 1(Jan4-Jan7)  This was the first week of our teaching practice session. On 4th Jan our practice teaching started at Govt.GHSS Neyyattinkara. Me along with 2 other trainees were allotted to the school.We've already hired permission from the school headmistress and had collected our portions to teach in the previous week. We were so excited to take over our new roles during the practice teaching.    On the first day I met with my concerned teachers and they gave me proper guidelines about the school timings,my timetable,chapters to deal with and about the students. There were 3 physical science teachers in the HS section. I had 5 classes to deal with,3 division from 8th std and 2 from 9th std. On the first day teachers came along with me to the classes and introduced me to the students. On my first class in each std I took an introductory session just to get mingle with the students.
